ZIP files

ZIP file extraction is supported in the Marketing, Preparation and Diligence areas. Extracted files are created as individual articles or documents rather than remaining within a ZIP archive.

Files upload as ZIP files remain available unless they are manually deleted after extraction.

Permission inheritance follows the selected destination folder settings.

How to extract ZIP files during upload

1. Click the DealCentre AI icon in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
2. Select the deal you want.
3. Click the Marketing icon , Preparation icon , or Diligence icon  on the left side of the screen.
4. Select Internal Documents in Marketing area or Documents in Preparation or Diligence areas.
5. Select Upload Documents.
6. Choose one or more ZIP files from your device.
7. In the upload dialog, enable Extract Archive
8. Choose whether extracted files should:
   • No access (hidden) to hide the extracted files from buyers until permissions are updated.
   • Inherit destination permission settings to apply the destination folder's permissions to the extracted files.
9. Click Upload.

How to extract uploaded ZIP file 

1. Click the DealCentre AI icon in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
2. Select the deal you want.
3. Click the Marketing icon , Preparation icon , or Diligence icon  on the left side of the screen.
4. Select Internal Documents in Marketing area or Documents in Preparation or Diligence areas.
5. Locate the zip file you want to extract.
6. Select the three dots menu in the Actions column and select Extract Archive.
7. In the Extract Archive dialog box, select Push to Diligence now or Push to Diligence later.
8. If the ZIP file is inside a parent folder, choose whether extracted files should:
   • No access (hidden) to hide the extracted files from buyers until permissions are updated.
   • Inherit destination permission settings to apply the destination folder's permissions to the extracted files.
9. Click Extract Archive.

How to extract uploaded ZIP files in bulk 

1. Click the DealCentre AI icon in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
2. Select the deal you want.
3. Click the Marketing icon , Preparation icon , or Diligence icon  on the left side of the screen.
4. Select Internal Documents in Marketing area or Documents in Preparation or Diligence areas.
5. Locate the ZIP files you want to extract.
6. Select the check boxes next to the ZIP files and select Extract Archives from the bulk actions blue bar at the top of the screen.
7. In the Extract Archive dialog box, select Push to Diligence now or Push to Diligence later.
8. If the ZIP file is inside a parent folder, choose whether extracted files should:
   • No access (hidden) to hide the extracted files from buyers until permissions are updated.
   • Inherit destination permission settings to apply the destination folder's permissions to the extracted files.
9. Click Extract Archive.
