QR Code Access Option After Initial Setup & Email Verification for MFA

Kim

When logging in, the issue when verifying the account via authenticator app where only one person has access to the authenticator registered can be troublesome. After configuring the authenticator app, it would be great if there is an option to still display the same QR code scanned by a certain member of the user's team when they initially logged in on the account, to allow the other members to register the login credentials on their own authenticator apps even if the original person who first accessed did not take a screen shot of the QR code. Along with this, it would be great if users can also be allowed to verify their accounts through codes received on their emails. This would make the login process easier and less confusing especially for users who are logging in through group emails/accounts.

    Hello Kim,

Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback. We understand how sharing access to an authenticator app across a team—especially when using group or shared accounts—can present challenges.

Your idea to make the original QR code available after setup for others to scan is a thoughtful one and could help teams avoid roadblocks when access is centralized. Additionally, supporting email-based verification as a backup method would definitely improve flexibility and accessibility.

We’ll take this into consideration as we continue to evaluate ways to improve account security while making the login process more user-friendly, especially for teams using shared access.
