Setting up permissions to content in an Intralinks VDR are applied to groups of people either at the file or folder level. This means you can decide which groups have access to which documents in the data room. You can also determine what the group can do with that information – would you like the group to have access to that document or not? Do you want a group to download a document or not or would you rather they view it online only? Or would you like to apply Information Rights Management (IRM) and allow a group to download a document, disable copy/paste, export and print functions yet be able to revoke access to the document at any time.
All these options are available in the Intralinks VDR product, and you can apply them in the permissions tab or as you are uploading files. Please contact your assigned Customer Success Manager for more information and training.
