Managing VDR roles and groups across VDRs | VDRPro

  • Updated

Product: VDRPro
Applies to: Manager Plus, Hidden Manager Plus, Manager, Manager Limited, Reviewer Plus

You can manage a member’s role and group memberships from the Contacts tab in the hub without having to open each VDR. This ability is useful when you need to change the member’s configuration across multiple VDRs.

Note: The terms VDR and exchange are used interchangeably in Intralinks products.

I want to

  • Change a member's role across multiple VDRs
  • Change a member's group membership across multiple VDRs

Steps

  1. Log into Intralinks VDRPro or if you are in a VDR, click the Intralinks VDRPro logo.
  2. Click the Contacts tab.

Users you can see in a VDR are listed, except for those users in VDRs that use two factor authentication. The list takes into account group membership in individual VDRs.

  3. Use Search to find the member you want to manage.

Optionally, sort the list by name, email, or phone number by clicking in the header row of the table.

  4. In the row of the user you want to update, in the Action column, click Manage Exchange Access.

The Action column is visible only if you have a role that allows you to manage users in any of the member’s VDRs.

  5. In the row of the VDR that you want to update, in the Action column, click the Edit icon.

Note that only VDRs for which you have a role that allows you to manage users are shown.

  6. In the Exchange Role field, select the member’s role in the VDR. To remove the member from the VDR, select No access.
  7. In the Groups field, select the group(s) to which you want to add the user. Deselect groups from which you want to remove the user.
  8. (Optional.) If the user has the appropriate role, select the Key Contact field to add the user as a key contact.
  9. (Optional). To send an alert to the user, select the Send Alert option.
  10. Click Save.
