Issue
When you use Intralinks, you may experience general connection issues.
For example:
- Intralinks sites (https://services.intralinks.com) won't load in your browser
- You cannot upload files
- You cannot download files
Cause
Connection issues could have any number of causes. However, general connection issues are often related to your company's internal network settings. These settings may prevent you from connecting to Intralinks servers.
Note about uploading files: You can uploading files from a network or shared drive, but we highly recommend uploading files only from your local computer.
Your organization may apply additional security restrictions to network drives that do not apply to your computer. These restrictions may cause experience connection or upload issues, when you try to add files from a network drive.
Whenever possible, copy files from a network drive to your computer before uploading them to Intralinks.
Solution
If you are connected to your office network or VPN, temporarily disconnect from it, if possible. Connect directly to the internet, accessing Intralinks and try the process again.
-
If the process works after you disconnect from your company network, then the issue is related to network settings. If this is the case, your internal IT team may need to add the Intralinks server URLs to your organization's allowlist.
