Using Language column to identify documents for translation | DealCentre AI

This article explains how to turn on the Language column and use it to find documents that need translation.

Prerequisites:

  • Your administrator must have enabled Link AI Translation in Settings.
  • Your user role has access to translation features.

  1. Click the DealCentre AI icon DCAI product icon.png in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
  2. Select the deal you want.
  3. Navigate to the required documents grid:
    • If you are in the Marketing area, click the Internal Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Preparation area, click the Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Diligence area, click the Documents tab.
  4. From the documents grid, click Columns on the right side of the screen.
  5. Find Language.
  6. Check or clear the box.
    1. When checked, the column appears in the documents grid.
    2. When cleared, the column is removed from the documents grid.

Note: All deal users can see this column once it is enabled.

Value What it means
Language name The document language is detected.
Empty The document is supported but no language is detected. This includes documents not yet processed, unsupported languages, and documents that failed extraction such as password-protected or IRM-protected documents.
A dash "-" The row is a folder or a non-supported language type.

  1. Click the DealCentre AI icon DCAI product icon.png in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
  2. Select the deal you want.
  3. Navigate to the required documents grid:
    • If you are in the Marketing area, click the Internal Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Preparation area, click the Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Diligence area, click the Documents tab.
  4. Select the filter icon on the Language column header. The language filter appears and it shows all languages alphabetically.
  5. To find a specific language, type in the Search bar at the top of the filter.
  6. Check the box next to each language you want to include.
  7. To select all languages, check Select All.
  8. Select Apply. The documents grid updates to show only documents in the selected languages.

To clear the filter:

  1. Select the filter icon on the Language column.
  2. Select Reset.

  2. Select the deal you want.
  3. Navigate to the required documents grid:
    • If you are in the Marketing area, click the Internal Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Preparation area, click the Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Diligence area, click the Documents tab.
  4. From the Language column header, click the three dots menu.
  5. Select Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
  6. To clear the sort, click Clear Sort.

  1. Click the DealCentre AI icon DCAI product icon.png in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
  2. Select the deal you want.
  3. Navigate to the required documents grid:
    • If you are in the Marketing area, click the Internal Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Preparation area, click the Documents tab.
    • If you are in the Diligence area, click the Documents tab.
  4. Select the search bar at the top of the documents grid.
  5. Type a language name, for example: French. 

The search returns documents where the detected language matches your search term.
