Link AI translation

Translation settings - Administrators, third party, and sellers

Deal administrators control which user groups can access translation from Settings. Translation is enabled by default.

When enabled, users can access the document translation entry points, the Language column, the Translated column, and the Translated Documents quick filter.

Deal administrators set whether a watermark appears on the translated output.

Translation settings - Buyers

Buyer groups have separate inline translation controls. Deal administrators select which buyer groups can access translation.

Translate and save documents

You can now translate and save documents into different languages directly within the platform using the Translate as New option. This is available for PDF, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files up to 500 pages. The original file remains unchanged after translation. The platform creates a new translated PDF document. Translated document preserve the original layout and structure.

Translation supports 18 languages - English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, Turkish, Korean, Russian, Swedish, Greek, and Polish.

This enhancement helps deal teams review translated content without exporting files or leaving the platform.

Translation entry points - Link Document Insights and Document Properties

You can now translate directly from the Link Document Insights and the Document Properties panels. The document language is automatically detected. You can use the Translate as New to initiate the translation.

Inline translation

You can now translate selected deal document text directly in the document viewer using inline translation. The system detects the source language, and the translated text appears alongside the original in the same modal. You can use this for electronic documents and scanned files with OCR text.

This enhancement allows deal teams to understand specific document sections without translating the entire deal document.

Note: Documents in Hebrew or Arabic cannot be used as a source language for inline translation

Language Column

A new Language column displays the detected language for each supported document in the Marketing - Internal, Preparation, and Diligence areas.

Q&A - Copy attachments of proposed answers

When a Q&A administrator copies a proposed answer from a subject matter expert, the system now copies both the answer text and all associated attachments.

Q&A administrators can remove attachments or add new ones before sending the response to the buyer. If an attachment is not permissioned for the buyer group that asked the question, a warning appears before the response is shared.

This enhancement ensures attachments are included when responses are copied.

Q&A - Permission alerts for attachments

The platform now displays a warning when a Q&A administrator selects a file or folder that the buyer cannot access. The warning appears in the Select Documents panel before the answer is sent. Q&A administrators can fix permissions or select a different file before sending the answer.

Q&A - Display attachments in Link suggested answers

Link suggested answers now include attachments used to generate the responses.

This enhancement provides context to Q&A administrators when reviewing suggested answers.

Q&A - Inline edits for question category and priority

Q&A administrators can now edit category and priority for unanswered questions from the Q&A view. Changes are applied without clicking the question. Updates to the category also updates the assigned subject matter experts based on automatic delegation.

This enhancement allows easy update of required information.

Q&A - Import questions in bulk on behalf of buyers

Q&A administrators can now upload and submit multiple questions on behalf of a buyer group.

A template is available to upload multiple questions. After the upload, any assigned subject matter experts are notified, and the questions are visible in the questions grid.

This feature ensures multiple questions can be handled at once.

Q&A - Improved answer text area

The answer text area in Q&A is now larger and easy to scroll. This enhancement makes it easier to read, review, and edit long answers.

Copy documents and folders

Deal team members, third party groups, seller administrators, seller and target groups with manage rights can now copy documents and folders within or across deals. The content can be copied across deals to Internal or Preparation area. The latest version of the document is copied and the folder structure is preserved. The copied files or folders inherit the permissions of the destination folder.

Bulk redaction - Custom terms

You can now define Custom Terms and Do Not Redact Terms in the Configure Redaction modal for bulk redaction.

This enhancement allows you to handle sensitive terms in the deal documents.

Bulk downloads - Long path truncation

Bulk downloads over 1 GB now always truncate long folder paths. The system uses a middle-out truncation method. It shortens segments from the middle of the path and adds an ellipsis (...) to show where truncation occurred. Folder names remain visible so you can browse the downloaded folder structure without using an index file.

Bulk downloads - Append index numbers

You can now add index numbers for bulk downloads, including downloads under 1 GB.

This update ensures bulk downloaded data matches the deal content.

Deal access terms agreement

You can now enter up to 50,000 characters for the deal level Access Agreement in the Agreement Text field.
