Summary of enhancements and new functionality
March 4, 2026
The following enhancements have been made for DealCentre AI:
Advisory and Corporate Development (CorpDev) Experience
Q&A - Ask on behalf
Q&A administrators can now submit questions on behalf of a buyer group in DealCentre AI. All the question submissions have the Q&A administrator name and are linked to the relevant buyer group. The questions can also be delegated to subject matter experts.
All members of the selected buyer group can see the question and the full Q&A thread.
Exports record administrators, the buyer group, and timestamp of the submission.
This feature ensures questions received outside the platform, for example, through email can still be tracked.
Q&A - Multiple answers for open questions
Q&A administrators can now submit multiple answers to a question while it remains open. They can add clarifications or new information without closing the thread.
Buyers can submit follow-up questions on each new answer. Q&A administrators can reply to those follow-ups using the same process as the first answer.
Notifications are sent to buyer submitters and proposers for each new answer. All additional answers and follow-ups are tracked in exports.
This enhancement allows ongoing responses within the same Q&A thread.
Q&A - Manage buyer category visibility
Q&A administrators can now control question categories visible to buyers in the Q&A workflow from Configuration in the Q&A tab under the Diligence area. When buyers submit a question, they only see the enabled categories from the 17 predefined category options.
This enhancement allows Q&A administrators to hide categories that are not relevant to a buyer group.
Q&A - Copy attachments of proposed answers
When a Q&A administrator copies a proposed answer from a subject matter expert, the system now copies both the answer text and all associated attachments.
Q&A administrators can remove attachments or add new ones before sending the response to the buyer. If an attachment is not permissioned for the buyer group that asked the question, a warning appears before the response is shared.
This enhancement ensures attachments are included when responses are copied.
Watermark enhancements
Watermarks now apply to protected Office files (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx) opened in the browser. This applies to files in the Preparation and Diligence areas. Additional watermark settings such as font size, text alignment, time zone display in timestamps, and user email are available.
Watermarks are displayed in Camel case and include a timestamp with the viewer's time zone. Additionally, watermark do not appear when View As is used.
This enhancement ensures that watermarks appear on supported Office file types.
Note: For Deal Marketing, watermarks apply only to PDFs.
Drag and drop documents and folders
You can now drag and drop documents and folders from the content panel to the folder tree in the left panel. This applies to documents and folders in Internal and Preparation areas. Index numbers appear during the move so you can confirm the placement.
This enhancement makes it easier to reorganize documents without using menu actions.
Archives - Long path truncation
Archives now always truncate long folder paths. The system uses a middle-out truncation method. It shortens segments from the middle of the path and adds an ellipsis (...) to show where truncation occurred. Folder names remain visible so you can browse the archive structure without using an index file.
This update helps archive recipients understand the folder structure more easily.
Entity contact management and visibility
Entity administrators can now control which users can see contacts in DealCentre AI.
When adding a contact, administrators select an Available To visibility level from three options.
- Entity Admin - all entity administrators can see the contact
- Entity Groups - all group admins of selected groups can see the contact
- Entity - all users within an entity can see the contact
Group administrators can create contacts for their group but cannot change visibility settings.
When contacts are uploaded using an Excel spreadsheet, all contacts in the upload share the same visibility setting.
This update helps control who can view contacts across groups.
Enhanced document search in Documents tab
You can now search for documents directly from the Documents tab using the existing search bar. Search applies to your current area and the active tab. You can use scope tags to filter the search using Current Folder, Document Name, and Folder Name.
The results are seen within the active tab and include only documents you have permission to view. The results list shows the number of matches. When you view a result, the document opens in the viewer. The search term is already filled in and the matches are highlighted in the viewer.
This change helps you find documents without switching tabs or opening multiple files.
Defect fix
Extended auto-inherit permissions for groups
Deal team groups, seller groups, and target groups with View or Download permission at the folder level now automatically inherit access to all content uploaded in that folder. You no longer need to manually assign permissions after each upload. Users also receive a notification when they gain access to newly uploaded content.
This fix helps maintain consistent access control and reduces manual permission updates.
