Applies to: Q&A administrators
This article explains how Q&A categories and delegation work in DealCentre AI.
Q&A categories
Questions can be delegated both automatically and manually by Q&A administrators. Categories are used to organize buyer questions and to control automatic delegation.
- Predefined categories are available by default.
- Additional categories can be added during Q&A setup.
- Categories are used only organization and delegation.
Uncategorized category
The Uncategorized category is always available and cannot be removed. It acts as a default category for questions that do not match any other category.
The Uncategorized category can also be configured for automatic delegation.
Automatic delegation
Automatic delegation routes newly submitted buyer questions to subject matter experts (SMEs) based on the category assigned to the question.
- Automatic delegation is enabled by default on the Sell Side step in the Q&A workflow.
- It can be turned off using the toggle.
- Not all categories are required to have the delegation rules.
Delegation to groups or individuals
Your deal is based on your contract type. Depending on your deal, experts can be deal team members, sellers or third party users.
For each category, you can delegate questions to SMEs:
- Groups of experts
- Individual experts
Groups and individual SMEs are selected separately.
Manual delegation
Manual delegation allows Q&A administrators to assign or reassign individual questions.
- Manual delegation is always available.
- It can be used whether or not automatic delegation is enabled.
- Manual delegation overrides automatic delegation for the selected question.
Note: Your deal is based on your contract type. Depending on your deal, experts can be deal team members, sellers, or third party users.
Access to questions
Access to questions is controlled by delegation.
- Delegated users and groups gain access to relevant historical and future questions.
- Adding a user to a delegated group grants access to questions automatically.
- Removing a user immediately revokes access to questions.
Note: Your deal is based on your contract type. Depending on your deal, experts can be deal team members, sellers or third party users.
Notifications for delegation
Notifications are sent only for new buyer questions.
- Notifications are sent to Q&A administrators.
- Notifications are sent to delegated SMEs.
- Notifications are not sent for historical access changes or removal events.
