Applies to: Entity administrators and group administrators
This article explains how to create, save, edit, and use deal templates in DealCentre AI.
Deal templates allow entity administrators and group administrators reuse saved templates from past deals. Templates can include folder structures, document request lists, deal marketing phases, and various deal settings.
This speeds up new deal setup and keeps everything consistent across deals.
Deal templates
Deal templates clone specific deal elements:
- Preparation folder structure (folders only, not documents)
- Document request list (empty requests tied to folders, assignees must be updated)
- Deal marketing phase names
- Deal settings: Access Agreements, Watermarking Preferences, AI Settings, AI Redaction System Settings, Dynamic Index, and Buyer Category Display.
Note: Templates do not clone actual documents or assignees. Folder structures are clones but remain empty.
Deal template permissions
Deal template permissions
Template visibility is controlled by Entity and Group administrators.
Permission levels:
- Entity administrators: They can save templates and share with the entire entity. Can view and edit all templates.
- Group administrators: They can only save templates for their own group. They cannot share with other groups.
- Deal administrators: If they are also entity administrators, they can share templates. If they are only deal administrators without entity or group administrator roles, they cannot save templates.
