Using the DealCentre AI mobile app for iOS

You can use your iPhone or iPad and the Intralinks DealCentre AI app to perform many of the same tasks that you perform using DealCentre on the web.

Requirements

iPhone: iOS 17.0 or later is required. 

iPad: iPadOS 17.0 or later is required.

English is the only language supported in the mobile app.

If you have not installed the DealCentre AI for iOS app, you can download it from the App Store.

Getting started

Starting the DealCentre AI app

The first time that you start the Intralinks DealCentre AI app, your iPad or iPhone must be connected to the Internet. If you have never logged in to an Intralinks product, you must activate and set up your Intralinks account. A message will instruct you to log in using a web browser to set up your account. You  need to do this only once.

  1. Tap the DealCentre icon to start the app. The login screen appears.
  2. Enter your email address and tap Next.
  3. Enter your password or passphrase, then tap Login.

If you are required to verify your identity, select a verification method. 

  • If your account is set up to use Intralinks Authenticator, the Verification code field is automatically populated. 
  • If you are using Okta Verify with Push, tap Yes it’s me in your Okta Verify app. 
  • If you are using another authentication method (either another app or email), enter the verification code that you received from the app or by email in the Verification code field.

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), the app opens when you tap on on the icon. If you have not signed into your organization’s network, you will be redirected to your company’s sign-on page.

Your organization may have a rule that denies access to users who log in from a certain IP address or IP address range. If you try to log in and the an IP address that is not allowed, the message, Your organization requires you to log in using an authorized network, is displayed.

Using Touch ID or Face ID to access the app

If your iOS device has Touch ID or Face ID capability, you can use it to quickly access the Intralinks DealCentre AI app. (You must first log in using your email address and password.) You can continue to use Touch ID or Face ID to access the app until you log out. If you log out, you will have to enter your address and password to log in again.

If you have not set up Touch ID or Face ID on your device yet, you can do so by opening Apple’s Settings app, then tapping Touch ID & Passcode or Face ID & Passcode. Follow the instructions on the screen. The next time you open the Intralinks DealCentre AI app, you will be able to log in using your fingerprint or facial image.

Important! If you are using Touch ID or Face ID, anyone whose fingerprint or face is enrolled on your device will be able to log into Intralinks DealCentre AI and view or change the contents of your deals. If you share your device with a colleague or family member who uses Touch ID or Face ID, be sure to log out of Intralinks DealCentre AI before giving the device to them.

Viewing deals

  1. When you open the app, a list of your deals appears. Tap the deal you want to work with.
  2. Depending on the way your deal has been set up, a confidentiality agreement or other legal agreement may appear. Review the information and tap Agree to continue. If you do not agree to the terms of the agreement, tap Decline to return to your deals list.

Managing documents

View documents

To view a document:

  1. Tap Documents, then tap the area where the document appears: Marketing, Preparation, or Diligence.
  2. Locate the document you want and tap it. Depending upon your role in the deal, you may see only the Preparation and Diligence tabs, or only the Diligence tab. Alternatively, you can use the search bar at the top of the Documents List to find the document you want.
  3. (Optional.) You can perform the following tasks while viewing the document:
    • To display the document in reading mode, click the iOS reading mode.jpg icon.
    • You can change the size of the text you are viewing by placing two fingers on the screen and pinching them together to reduce the text size or spreading them apart to enlarge the text.
    • To use Ask Link, Intralinks' AI agent, to find and summarize information in the document, tap the  icon, and ask a question. Ask Link will scan the current document and other related documents to find an answer for you.
    • To search for a particular term in the document, tap the  icon.
    • To share a link to the document with a colleague, tap the  icon, then select the person you want. Tap the  icon to send the link to the selected person.
  4. When you have finished viewing the document, tap the folder name at the top of the screen to return to the Documents list.

Create a folder

  1. Tap Documents, then tap the area where you want to create the folder: Marketing or Preparation. Folders created in the Preparation area will automatically appear in the Diligence area.
  2. Tap the  icon, then tap Create Folder.
  3. Enter the new folder's name and tap Create.

Create a document request

  1. Tap Documents, then tap Preparation
  2. Navigate to the folder where you want the requested documents to be stored.
  3. Tap the  icon, then tap Create Request.
  4. In the Description field, enter a description of the documents you are requesting.
  5. (Optional.) In the Reviewers field, enter or select the names of the deal team members you want to receive alerts when documents are received. If no reviewers are selected, all deal team members will receive alerts when documents are received.
  6. In the Assignees field, enter the email addresses of the users that you want to be able to upload documents.
  7. (Optional.) To automatically send a notification to all assignees, click Email this request to all assignees. You can also do this at a later date.
  8. (Optional.) In the Due Date field, enter the date by which you would like the documents to be uploaded. Documents cannot be uploaded to this request after the due date.
  9. (Optional.) In the Priority field, select the priority of the request.
  10. Tap Create Request. A link to the new request appears at the bottom of the screen.
  11. Select one of the following options:
    • To copy the link to the clipboard, tap the  icon. You can send this link in an email to the users who need to upload documents. In the email, list the documents that you want them to provide.
    • To share the link directly with someone in your Contacts list, tap the  icon and select the person you want. Or select the app that you want to use to send the link and select the recipient there.

Scan a document

You can use your device's camera to scan documents and upload them to your deal. The scanned documents will be saved in PDF format.

  1. Tap Documents, then tap the area where you want the scanned document to appear: Marketing or Preparation. Navigate to the folder where you want the document to be stored.
  2. Tap the  icon, then tap Scan Document.
  3. Hold your camera directly over the document. The screen will flash when the page is captured. Immediately turn to the next page and hold the camera over the page until the screen flashes. Do this until all pages have been scanned. Tap Save.
  4. The scanned document appears with the name "Untitled." Tap the name to rename the document. When you are ready to upload the document, tap Upload.
  5. Drag down on the screen to refresh its contents. The new document appears in the location you selected.

Upload documents

  1. Tap Documents, then tap the area where you want the uploaded document to appear: Marketing or Preparation. Navigate to the folder where you want the document to be stored.
  2. Tap the  icon, then tap Upload Documents.
  3. A list of recently viewed documents appears. If you do not see the documents you want, tap Shared or Browse at the bottom of the screen and locate the documents.
  4. Tap on one or more documents to mark them, then tap Open to upload the documents.
  5. Tap Close to return to the Documents list.

Use Ask Link to learn about document contents

Link is Intralinks' conversational AI assistant. It answers questions about documents in your deals by searching across all applicable files and providing responses with source references. Uploading additional documents can influence the answers you receive.

Ask Link is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, Turkish, Korean, Swedish, Greek, Polish, Hebrew, Arabic. Ask Link supports PDF, Microsoft Word (.docx, .doc), PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt), and Excel documents in the Marketing, Preparation, and Diligence tabs. Note that Ask Link does not scan documents with more than 500 pages, and information in those documents will not be included in Ask Link's responses. 

Ask Link remembers your current session. If you already asked a question, the chat opens automatically when you click Ask Link.

Note:  This feature may not be available if it has been disabled by the deal administrator.

  1. Tap Documents, then tap the Ask Link button at the bottom of the page.
  2. Tap New Chat if you want to begin a new chat. Tap a previous chat if you want to continue that chat.
  3. Ask a question about the current deal. Ask Link will scan the documents for this deal to find an answer for you.
  4. (Optional.) You can ask another question or select one of the suggested questions provided by Ask Link.

Managing your account

Change your password

Note: If your organization uses Intralinks’ Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality, you do not have a separate Intralinks password, and you will not be able to change your password in the Intralinks mobile app.

  1. Tap your profile  icon.
  2. Tap Change your password.
  3. Enter your current password, then enter your new password. Re-enter the new password to confirm it.
  4. Tap Save new password.

Contact support through WhatsApp

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Support.
  3. Tap Help through WhatsApp for Business.
  4. Tap Open WhatsApp.

A conversation opens in WhatsApp with the Intralinks support team. Enter your question or describe your issue in the chat.

If WhatsApp is not installed

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Support.
  3. Tap Help through WhatsApp for Business.

A browser page opens with WhatsApp Web and you can opt to download the WhatsApp application or continue via web

Follow the instructions on the screen to start the conversation.

After you submit a WhatsApp message:

  • A support specialist responds to your message. 
  • The conversation creates a support ticket.
  • The chat transcript is saved for support tracking.
  • No authentication, authorization, or secure platform access happens through WhatsApp

Important! Do not share passwords or sensitive account information in WhatsApp.

  2. Tap Support.
  3. Tap Call Intralinks Support Services.
  4. Tap the phone number that appears on your screen to call our support number.

Send an email to Intralinks support

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Learning resources.
  3. Tap Support.
  4. Tap Email Our Global Experts. A draft email appears with basic information about your device that may be helpful if a support specialist needs to troubleshoot an issue you are having.
  5. Enter your question or concern in the draft email and send the email.

An Intralinks support specialist will respond.

Logging out

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Log Out.
