Applies to: Deal Team and Sellers (when applicable)

You can add watermarks to pdf documents in the Diligence and DealMarketing areas. You can configure the watermark text, appearance, position, color, and opacity of the watermark.

Watermarks can be applied to:

  • PDF files
  • Protected Office files opened in the browser in the Preparation and Diligence areas, including .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types.

Note: In DealMarketing, watermarks apply only to PDF files.

Text displayed

You can select a predefined label or enter customer text for the watermark.

Additional text options

You can include additional information in the watermark.

  • Company Name
  • Download Timestamp (includes timezone)
  • Document Name
  • User Email

Position

Select where the watermark appears on the document

  • Diagonal
  • Header and Footer
  • Four corners

Appearance settings

You can configure the appearance of the watermark

  • Text Alignment - left, center, or right
  • Text Size - adjust the watermark font size
  • Color- choose the watermark color
  • Opacity - control the transparency of the watermark

  1. Click the DealCentre AI icon DCAI product icon.png in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
  2. Select the deal you want.
  3. Click the Settings DC Settings icon.png icon on the left side of the screen.
  4. From the Settings page, select Watermarks.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Choose a predefined text label from the Text Displayed field or enter a Custom Text.
  7. Choose Additional Text Options.
  8. Select Position for the watermark.
  9. Select a Color.
  10. Set the Opacity.
  11. Review the preview on the right.
  12. Click Save.

Note:

  • Watermarks appear when documents are viewed in the browser.
  • Watermarks are not displayed when using the View As feature.
