Analyze Document Uploaded to the Exchange
This setting determines whether documents will be analyzed when they are uploaded to the Exchange, also referred to as a VDR. The Document Analyzer is a tool that helps to ensure that the documents you upload to your VDR can be opened and read by the users permissioned to access them. It also identifies documents that may conflict with data room functions, such as watermarking, IRM protection and redaction. The Document Analyzer speeds up the time needed to prepare the data room and improves the viewing experience by finding conflicts in advance of sharing documents.
Document analysis occurs in the background, and does not interrupt activity within the exchange. Documents that require further attention are added to the Attention Required view.
Note that the Document Analyzer will analyze documents after it has been activated. We recommend that that you enable Document Analyzer immediately after the VDR is created so that it can process all documents uploaded on the exchange.
- If this setting is turned ON, the Document Analyzer is enabled and will analyze documents as they are uploaded.
- If this setting is turned OFF, the Document Analyzer is not enabled and will not analyze documents as they are uploaded.
