You can add contacts individually or in bulk, invite them to onboarding, and add investors. Note that investors are legal entities and should not be confused with contacts or users.

Add an individual contact

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click Add Contact.
  3. Add the contact details. Required fields as indicated by an asterisk.
  4. Click Save.

Add contacts in bulk

  1. From the Profile menu, select Bulk Actions.
  2. Click Bulk Upload.
  3. If you have not done so already, download the Contacts template from the Document Templates list.
  4. Populate the template with your data, up to a maximum of 1000 rows. Do not add extra columns or change the formatting. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
  5. Upload the file either by dragging and dropping it or by clicking to upload. The upload preview screen is displayed. If there is an error, the rows will be highlighted in red. Fix the rows in the template and upload the file again.
  6. Click Upload.

Impersonate a contact

You can impersonate contacts that have an LP user role.  Impersonating a contact gives you view only access into the users progress on completing an onboarding task, and contacts, documents, and exported items that the user can see.

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the Impersonate icon in the Action column. The contact's view is opened in a new tab. 

Disable/enable a contact

You can disable a contact. Disabled contacts cannot access the portal. In addition, disabling a contact removes their permissions. As a result, you cannot enable the contact until the contact has permissions associated with it.

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. From the three dots menu in the upper right corner, select Disable Contact or Enable Contact.
  4. Click Confirm.

Delete a contact

Contacts cannot be deleted until any permissions associated with that contact are removed.

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. From the three dots menu in the upper right, select Delete.
  4. Click Confirm.

Add an investor

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. Click Add Investor.
  4. Enter the details about the investor. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk.
  5. Click Save.

Add permissions

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click Add Permission.
  5. In the Role field, select the contact's role - GP Admin or Limited Partner.
  6. If you selected Limited Partner, complete the following fields.
    • Select whether the contact is an authorized signatory. Only contacts that are configured as authorized signatories will be able to sign a subscription document. In addition, they can add contacts and associations on behalf of the LP.
    • Select whether the contact is a contact manager. Contact managers can add contacts and associations on behalf of the LP. Note that they cannot flag other users as authorized signatories.
    • In the Investor field, select the investor to which to add this contact.
    • In the Account field, select the account.
    • In the Fund field, select the fund to which to add this contact.
  7. Click Save.

Add permissions in bulk

  1. From the Profile menu, select Bulk Actions.
  2. Click Bulk Upload.
  3. If you have not done so already, download the assignments template from the Document Templates list.
  4. Populate the template with your data, up to a maximum of 1000 rows. Do not add extra columns or change the formatting. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
  5. Upload the file either by dragging and dropping it or by clicking to upload. The upload preview screen is displayed. If there is an error, the rows will be highlighted in red. Fix the rows in the template and upload the file again.
  6. Click Upload.

Delete permissions

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click the three dots menu in front of the permission and select Delete.
  5. Click Confirm.

Add company association

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click Associations in the upper right corner.
  5. Click Add Company Association.
  6. In the Company field, select the company to which you want to associate this contact.
  7. Click Save. The company will be listed on the Investors tab.

Delete company association

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click Associations in the upper right corner.
  5. From the three dots menu in front of the company, select Delete.
  6. Click Confirm.

  1. From the Entity menu, select Contacts.
  2. Click the contact's email address.
  3. From the three dots menu in the upper right corner, select either Send Welcome Email or Invite Without Email.

  3. From the three dots menu in the upper right corner, select Send Reset Password Email.
