Steps

DealVault trial overview

USB/hard drive and downloadable orders come with a 30-day DealVault trial for recipients that are part of the exchange. 

You must activate the trial to get access to the files. The trial allows you try out a subset of DealVault functions to decide if you want to upgrade to a paid subscription. The trial allows you to download files, but does not allow you to unarchive files. Your trial ends either after the 30-day period or when you sign a contract. You can see the number of days left in your trial by clicking Orders & Archives, then clicking DealVault Archives.

Activating a DealVault trial

  1. In the VDR list, click Orders & Archives.
  2. Click DealVault Archives
  3. Click the name of the archive for which you want to activate a trial.
  4. Accept the terms and conditions by clicking Accept. You will have access to the files immediately.

Upgrading to a paid subscription

  1. In the VDR list, click Orders & Archives.
  2. Click DealVault Archives
  3. If you are opening a DealVault trial for the first time, you must accept terms and conditions. Select one of the following options.
    • To accept terms and conditions, click Accept.
    • To decline terms and conditions and end the trial, click Decline, the confirm by clicking Decline Trial.
  4. Click the name of the archive that you want to upgrade.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, click Upgrade Now.
  6. In the Your Contact Information section, enter your name, email address, and optionally a phone number.
  7. In the Contract Signer's Information section, enter the information for the person in your company that has authority to sign a DealVault contract. If you have the authority, click I can sign the contract.

    If the contract signer is in the system and a DealVault contract exists, the request will be sent to the Subscription Manager for approval. If either the contract signer is not in the system or there is no DealVault contract, the contract signer will be contacted by Intralinks sales.

  8. If the contract signer needs to be reminded, you can click Request Upgrade Again on the Request Upgrade page for the archive.
