The activity log shows various types of activity based on the filters you select. You can view document access, document changes, permission, and user and group history. By default, the activity log shows document access history activity for the last 30 days. You can change the timeframe, the type of activity included, and select the groups for which you want to view activity.
How to view and download the activity log
Generate a report
- Click the DealCentre AI icon
in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
- Select the deal you want.
- Click the Analytics icon
on the left side of the screen.
- Select Activity Log.
- Select Activity Type. You can select the following activity types:
- Document Access History - Shows which documents have been accessed and by whom, allowing you to gauge interest in the deal.
- Document Changes History - Shows document activity not including access history. Activities include category change, delete, move, pushed to diligence, redacted, removed from diligence, removed redaction, rename, replace and upload.
- Permission History - Shows permission events. The information includes previous and new level of access, the user that granted permission and the group to which permission was granted.
- User And Group History - Shows information about when users and groups have been added, modified or removed.
- Select a time range.
- (Optional.) If you want to view information for specific users or groups, select them, as well.
- (Optional.) If you want to filter information by a specific document or folders, select them, as well.
- To filter by a specific document or folder:
- Type the document or folder name or ID in the Documents and Folders field. Results appear as you type.
- Select the item you want to filter by. You can select up to 50 items.
- To use Advanced Selection:
- Click Advanced Selection.
- In the Select Files and Folders window, choose between Preparation and Diligence or Internal as needed.
- Select the check box next to each document or folder you want to include or click folder names to browse the structure. You can select up to 50 items.
- Click Select.
- To filter by a specific document or folder:
- Click Display Activity Data. The activity information you selected is displayed.
- (Optional.) To filter the data, use the filter icon at the top of each column you want to filter, make your selections, and click Apply. For example, you can filter by Activity Type.
- (Optional.) To pin a column to the left or right side of the table, choose the columns that will be displayed, or autosize columns, click the three dots menu at the top of a column.
- To generate a report of the activity currently being displayed, click Generate Report.
- Choose to create either a one-time report or a recurring report.
- In the Report Name field, enter a name for the report.
- In the Select a file format field, select whether to generate the file as a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file or as a CSV file.
- For recurring reports, select whether to deliver the report daily, weekly or monthly, and select the time in UTC to deliver the report.
- Click Create Report.
Download a report
Scheduled reports are available for download for 90 days.
- Click the DealCentre AI icon
in the upper left corner of the screen to display the deals list.
- Select the deal you want.
- Click the Analytics icon
on the left side of the screen.
- Select Reports.
- To see only your reports, move the Show only my reports toggle to the right.
- For a onetime report, click Activity Log Reports. For a recurring report, click Scheduled Reports.
- From the Actions column of the report you want to download, click the download icon.
