Downloading and opening protected documents

IRM-protected documents must be downloaded before you open them. Depending upon the security settings applied, you may be required to enter your email address and password to open these documents.

Note: IRM-protected PDF files that have embedded documents cannot be downloaded because IRM is not compatible with embedded PDF files.

I want to

• Open and view a protected document

Steps

1. Click the Documents tab.
2. Select the document you want to download and click Download.
3. Double-click the downloaded file to open it.
4. If you are not logged in to Intralinks, you will be asked for your Intralinks login credentials.

   The following screen is displayed for PDF files:

   

   • Enter your email address and click Next.
   • Enter your email address and click Continue.
   • Enter your password and click Continue.

   The following screen is displayed for Microsoft Office files:

   

• Enter your credentials and click OK.
