The deal overview page shows the target company, information about the deal, the people on the deal team, and notes that team has written about the deal. You can edit the deal information and add and delete notes. This information is only available to people in your group.

View and edit the deal profile

  1. From within the deal, click the Overview tab.
  2. Click the edit icon to the right of About the Deal.
  3. Update the deal profile information as needed.
  4. Click Save.

Add and delete notes

  1. From within the deal, click the Overview tab.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To add a note, in the New Note field enter the note text and click Save Note.
    • To delete a note, click the trashcan icon next the note that you want to delete and click the red check mark button to confirm.

You can view documents that have been shared with you in the browser.

The following document types can be opened:

  • PDF formats: PDF
  • Microsoft Office: DOC, .DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT and PPTX
  • CAD formats: DWG, DWF, DXF, DGN
  • Document formats: TXT
  • Image formats: BMP, JPG,and PNG 

If you try to open an other type of file, a message is displayed and you will need to download the file and open it locally.

  1. From the Deals list, click the deal for which you want to view documents.
  2. From the Documents menu, select the area where your document is located.
  3. Navigate to the document that you want to view or use Search or Filter to locate it. Search searches by file or folder name, index number, or the added by name. Filter lets you filter the list of documents and folders by when the document was added or modified.
  4. Click the document name to open it in the online viewer. If you are opening a password protected document, you will be asked to enter the password.

    The viewer has the following icons:

    • Quick Access Panel toggle - When selected, visually displays the pages so you can scroll through them and click the page you want to view.
    • View Controls - Lets you select how to transition pages, the page orientation and layout.
    • Scroll Document - Lets you scroll through the document.
    • Percentage - Lets you control the size of the page.
    • Zoom Out - Makes the page small so you can see more of the page.
    • Zoom In - Makes the page larger so you can magnify the page.
    • Previous and Next document - Lets you move back and forth through documents so you do not have to open the documents from the Documents tab.
    • Collapse/Expand - Collapse makes the page smaller and moves it to the right so that you can partially see the Documents tab. Expand returns the page to full screen.
  5. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to exit the viewer.

Icons_Approved.svg How to export the document list

You can export a list of documents to which you have access. You can export the list from the internal, preparation, and diligence areas if your role has access to them. The export Microsoft Excel spreadsheet will have a separate tab for each area listing the documents you can access.

  1. From the Deals list, click the deal for which you want to view documents.
  2. From the Documents menu, select an area.
  3. From the three dots menu, click Export Document List.
