User groups can be assigned additional privileges that allow previewers and reviewers in the selected groups to upload documents to specific folders. This option is useful for highly confidential processes in which you do not want your uploaders to see all folders and do not want them to add documents to any folder. The option to add these privileges is only available when the Allow Limited Publishers to Add Documents to Selected Folders VDR setting is enabled.
It is also recommended that the Apply Permissions at the Folder Level VDR setting is also enabled because reviewers and previewers cannot change the permissions for the documents they upload. A manager would always be required to adjust permissions after the upload. In addition, reviewers and previewers in the same group cannot see each other's documents. They can only see their own documents.
I want to
- Allow previewers and reviewers to upload documents to specific folders
Steps
- Click the Documents tab.

Right-click on the folder and select Permissions.
Note: Select only one folder. If you select more than one folder, you will not be able to assign additional privileges.
- You can assign privileges to a single group or to more than one group using bulk assignment.

For a single group privilege
- Select the check box for a single group that you would like to allow reviewers and previewers to upload documents.
- In the Additional Privileges column on the same row as the group, select the Add documents or Add documents and subfolders from the dropdown menu.

For bulk assignment of privileges
- Select the check box next to each group that you would like to allow reviewers and previewers to upload documents.
- Click Edit Additional Privileges at the top of the screen and select either Add documents or Add documents and subfolders for the groups.

For a single group privilege
- Click Apply and Save Changes.
