The Contact screen shows all of the contacts that have been invited to the deal.
How to export contacts to an Excel spreadsheet
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- From the Select An Action field, select Export to Excel.
How to send a message to a contact
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Select the contacts to which you want to send a message.
- From the Select An Action menu, select Send Contact Message.
- Nothing happens.
How to add and remove contacts to/from a deal
Invite one or more contacts by selecting them by name
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Click Invite Contact.
- Use one of the following methods to select contacts:
- To add a contact that is not in the CRM, enter the contact's information, click Create New Contact, and select the access level and tranche.
- To search for an existing contact, enter information in any of the fields and click Search. Select the contact from the results list, and select the access level and tranche.
- To filter on additional data, click Add Filters, select the filter criteria, and click Search. Select the contacts from the results list, and select the access level and tranche.
Note: Only active tranches can be selected. Inactive tranches are grayed out.
- Click Save & Send Invite.
Invite multiple contacts by entering email addresses
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Click Invite Multiple Contacts.
- Select Upload email addresses.
- Enter or copy and paste email addresses.
- Click Search. The results will show the number of emails that matched contacts in the what? deal/CRM? and the number of contacts that did not match.
- To create new contacts for the email addresses that did not match, click Create New Contact(s).
- Enter the contact information and click Save or Save & Next if there were more than one contacts that did not match.
- In the Select Contact to Invite list, click the contact that you want to invite to the deal.
- Select the access level and tranche.
- Click Save & Send Invite.
Invite multiple contacts using an Excel spreadsheet
Explain what has to be in the spreadsheet or whether than can export contacts and use that spreadsheet as an example.
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Click Invite Multiple Contacts.
- Click Upload an Excel.
- Drag and drop the file or browse for it.
- What happens next. I got an error message.
Resend a deal site invitation
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Select the contacts to which you want to resend an invitation.
- From the Select An Action menu, select Resend Deal Site Invitation.
Remove access to the deal
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Select the contacts that you want to remove from the deal.
- From the Select An Action menu, select Remove Contact Access.
- Click Yes to confirm.
How to change a contact's tranche and deal access level
Change a contact's trance
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Select the contacts whose trance you want to change.
- From the Select An Action menu, select Manage Tranche Access.
Note: You can also change the tranche for an individual contact by scrolling to the right in the grid, and clicking in the Tranche Access field for that contact.
- Select or deselect the tranche for each contact.
- Click Submit.
Change a contact's access level
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Select the contacts whose access level you want to change.
- From the Select An Action menu, select Manage Tranche Access.

- Select or deselect the access level for each contact.
- Click Submit.
How to create and manage deal groups
Deal groups are useful when you have a group of lenders to which you often give access to documents. Creating a deal group saves time when uploading documents.
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Use one of the following options:
- To manage a deal group for multiple contacts, select the contacts. From the Select An Action menu, select Manage Deal Groups.
- To manage a deal group for an individual contact, scroll to right in the grid, and click in the Deal Groups column for the contact.
- Use one of the following options:
- To add the contacts to a deal group, click Assign to deal group.
- To remove the contacts from a deal group, click Remove from deal group.
- To create a new deal group and assign the selected users to it, enter a name for the deal group and click Create new deal group.
- Select the deal group.
- Click Submit.
How to view and edit an institution's details
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Click on the Institution name.
- Make changes as needed and click Save.
- When you are done, click Back to return to the Contacts screen.
How to view a contact's details
You can view a contact's contact information, and potential and current deals.
- From within the deal, click Contacts in the left panel.
- Click a contact's name.
- Click Back to return to the Contacts screen.
Troubleshooting
Why can't I select a tranche?
The tranche may be grayed out because it is not active. To activate the tranche, click Deal Information, click the Transaction tab, scroll down to the Status field in the tranche and click Inactive. Click Yes.
