You can create a splash screen that appears when users enter your exchange. Depending upon your selections, the splash screen will appear every time a user enters the exchange, only the first time the user enters the exchange, or never.
The following fields appear on the Splash tab of the View/Update Exchange Settings screen:
Display Agreement
Select one of the following options:
- No splash — No splash screen is displayed; the exchange is displayed automatically.
- One-time splash — The splash screen is displayed only the first time that a user enters an Once the user clicks Accept or Continue to acknowledge that he or she has viewed the screen, it will not be displayed again.
- Every session login — The splash screen is displayed every time the user enters the exchange.
Agreement Source
Using a PDF or Microsoft Word file
To use a PDF or Microsoft Word file as the source for the agreement, select I want to select a PDF or Microsoft Word file. Click the Browse button to select the file. The file can be a maximum of 20MB.
Using an image
If you want to include an image on the splash screen, select I want to type or paste the text from another document. Click the Browse button to select the image file. Images must be in GIF or JPEG format.
You also can add a URL, making the image a clickable hyperlink. For example, if you insert your logo, you can include the URL for your corporate website; when users click the logo, your website will be displayed in a new browser window. If you click Add URL, the Image URL field will be displayed, and you can type or paste the URL in the field. Click the Test URL button to be sure that the URL you entered displays the webpage that you want.
Note
This option is displayed when you are using an image as your agreement source. Enter your non-disclosure agreement or other note. The note can be up to 35,000 characters long.
Button options
Select one of the following options:
- Agree — Select this option if the text that you included is a non- disclosure agreement or other legal text that requires the user’s acceptance before the exchange is displayed.
- Continue — Select this option if the text does not require the user’s acceptance (for instance, the text is informational only) in order for the exchange to be displayed.
