Use bulk upload to upload multiple documents at one time. This is useful, for example, to upload legacy documents. Unlike the other bulk upload options, instead of uploading an Excel file, you upload a ZIP file that contains all of the files you are uploading as well as the Content_Bulk_Import.xlxs Excel file. The spreadsheet indicates where each document is located in the ZIP file’s folder structure and the location to which it should be uploaded. Note the following:

  • Do not rename the Content_Bulk_import.xlxs file.
  • It is recommended that the ZIP be no larger than 500 MB.
  • Documents are uploaded but not published. After they are uploaded, you can publish them.

  7. Navigate and click on your ZIP file, and click Open.

You can perform other tasks while the file is uploading. To view upload progress, click the down arrow next to your user name in the upper right corner and click Bulk Uploads. When the files have finished uploaded, you can then publish them.

Guidelines for populating the spreadsheet

To ensure that files get uploaded to the proper locations, follow these guidelines:

  • Columns marked with an asterisk are required and must be complete for each row in the template.
  • Columns highlighted in blue are drop-down menus. Select an option from the menu.
  • Use the same punctuation and types shown in the Template Format tab in the worksheet.
  • For the Type column (D), the given document type determines which LP role can see the published documents on the portal.
  • The Effective Date column (E) must be in the MM/DD?YYYY format and the filed format must be text.
  • The Document Consent column (G) will always be false unless you want the LP to consent to viewing a document uploaded at the investment level.
  • The information entered into the Investor ID column (G) through the Fund ID column (I) determines the level that the document is uploaded:
    • If you want the document uploaded at the GP Portal level, do not fill out the Investor ID, Account ID and Fund ID columns. Leave them blank.
    • If you want the document uploaded at the investor level, fill out the Investor ID column only.
    • If you want the document uploaded at the fund level, fill out the Fund ID column only.
    • If you want the document uploaded at the investment level then fill out the Investor ID, Account ID and Fund ID columns.

Following are some recommendations for making the upload smoother and easier:

  • Organize your documents to be bulk uploaded with their specific Content_Bulk_Import spreadsheet into a single folder. Doing this makes the Path column (C) easier to populate because you will only need to enter the name of the document with the document extension into the field instead of a long full path name.
  • Keep the name of the folder that will store the documents and spreadsheet as simple as possible and do not include spaces, for example, K1sOct292025.

Viewing bulk upload status

  1. Click the down arrow next to your user name and click Bulk Uploads.
  2. (Optional.) If the Excel file contained an error, click Download <number of errors found> errors, fix the errors, and click Retry.
  3. (Optional.) Click the name of an upload to return to the Bulk Upload page.
