Updating investor information

Updating investor contact information and file split IDs

Update investor contact information and file split IDs when they change.

File split IDs are used by the Filesplit utility to break a single file into multiple documents and associate them with the correct account. For example, you might have one file that contains all of the tax documents for all accounts. When you upload the file, you can split the file so that the tax documents go to individual accounts. These IDs are typically managed by the general partners and correspond to the IDs in the accounting systems. For more information, see Posting documents.

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Investors.
  2. Click the investor whose information you want to update.
  3. Click the Details tab.
  4. In the Contact Details section, click in any field to edit it.
  5. In the ID field, enter the new split ID.
  6. (Optional.) To add an additional account, click the plus icon.
  7. Enter the account name and file split ID.
  8. Click Save.
