Issue

When using Intralinks, you may experience general connection issues.

For example:

Cause

Various issues could have any number of causes, but general connection issues are often related to your company's internal network settings (which may be blocking you from fully connecting to the Intralinks servers).

Note about uploading files: While you do have the option of uploading files from a network / shared drive, we highly recommend uploading only from a local computer.

Network drives at your organization may have certain additional security restrictions applied that are not applied on your computer. So you may experience connection / upload issues when trying to add files from a network drive.

Whenever possible, please copy files from a network drive to your computer, then upload them to Intralinks from there.

Solution

If you're connected to your office network / VPN, temporarily disconnect if possible. On a direct Internet connection, try accessing Intralinks and completing your process again.

  • If the process works while disconnected from your company network, then the issue is related to network settings. If this is the case, your internal IT team may need to add the Intralinks server URLs to your organization's allowlist.
  • If you still have an issue, something else may be the cause. If this is the case, get in touch with us. Our Support team will be happy to help.
