I'm filtering the Activity Summary report by different time periods.
For example, I've tried Last 7 Days and Last 30 Days.
Why does a group's document access count for a specific date change when I switch between the two time periods?
The report displays results based on the exact time that you view the report.
Note: If you look next to the report name on the upper left of the screen, you'll see As Of: [Date] [Time].
To illustrate, let's first assume that you're filtering the report by the last 7 days. Today is December 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern and you're checking the document access for December 8 (the first date in the filtered list).
The count reflects the document access on December 8 from 2 p.m. through 11:59:59 p.m. Any access on December 8 from 12 a.m. Eastern through 1:59:59 p.m. is not counted.
Now let's assume that you're checking the same date, but you're filtering by the last 30 days. All of December 8 falls within that time period, so the count now reflects document access for the entire day.
