Question
I ran a User Activity by Group report with the Since Launch time frame, and I'm comparing that against a multi-user access report.
Why does a user's total number of viewed documents in one report not match the total number for the same user in the other report?
Answer
Various exchange reports calculate the data differently.
The User Activity by Group report counts the unique number of views for each document. For example, if the user opened a specific document five times, it still only counts as one unique view.
By contrast, the multi-user access report counts the total number of views for each document. Using the example above, the report would count the total access for the document as five views.
So if a user accessed every document one time, the count in the two reports should match. If the user accessed any document more than once, the multi-user access report will show a higher count than the User Activity by Group report.
