You can easily change a forgotten or expired password on the VIA Pro for iOS login screen.

About this task

The need to change your password typically is required under the following circumstances:

  • You have forgotten your password. You can change your password by clicking Forgot password? during login.
  • Your password has expired. Typically, passwords expire every 365 days to ensure the security of your account. If your password has expired, when you attempt to log into Intralinks VIA you are guided through the password update process.

Note: If your organization uses Intralinks’ Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality, you do not have a separate Intralinks password, and you will not receive password expiration alerts.

Steps

Tap the VIA icon to open the app. Proceed with the appropriate steps below.

Changing a forgotten password

  1. On the app's login screen, enter your email address and click Next.
  2. On the following Intralinks login screen, ensure that your email address is still visible and click Next again.
  3. Click Forgot password?
  4. Select one of your identity verification options.
  5. In the Verification Code field, enter the verification code that is sent to you and click Next.
  6. In the Password and Confirm Password fields, enter the new password / passphrase. For greater security, create a strong password / passphrase as indicated by the password strength meter.
  7. Click Next

Changing an expired password

  1. On the app's login screen, enter your email address and click Next.
  2. Enter your password and click Login. The Update Password screen is displayed.
  3. In the Password and Confirm Password fields, enter the new password / passphrase. For greater security, create a strong password as indicated by the password strength meter.
  4. Click Next
